Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components An upgrade item is a special item that can make certain Pokemon change. The Upgrade is made by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It's sometimes given as a prize in Pokemon GO events. Upgrades can be used on armors, weapons trinkets, weapons, as well as gathering tools to raise their item level. The upgrade cost Flightstones and crests, dependent on the kind of item. Upgrade components Upgrade components can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to offer bonus effects or attribute bonuses while the equipment is being utilized. The exceptions are glyphs (which can only be used in gathering tools) and enchantments, which can be removed and then reinserted. Insignias and enchantments will show their names in the item's hover display, while prefix and suffix upgrades will add their names to the end of the name of the equipment (e.g. an Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrades that are added to an equipment piece will be displayed in the tooltip for the item. Glyphs Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements like ligatures, ornaments, fractions and swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel lets you insert and view these special characters, along with standard symbols such as em and en dashes as being trademark symbols that are registered. Each Glyph provides a character with a boost in their primary stats. It also comes with up to four Secondary Stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage increase which is multiplied once other bonuses are applied except for Speed Glyphs which directly increase the speed of the hero. The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and clicking the “enchant” button. This will open a new window showing the Glyphs you have that can be applied to the selected item. Note that only the right type of Glyph can be applied to the item you are looking for in that each weapon, piece of jewelry or armor piece has an array of different Glyphs. You can increase the level of Glyphs by completing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult the dungeon, the higher the amount of Glyph experience that you will gain. Once item upgrade attains level 15 and is upgraded, it can be upgraded by the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrades to a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels. When a Glyph is at the desired level you can activate it. Select it, then click the “enchant button”. The Glyph you create will provide its stated benefit, and boost other nodes within its area on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should go where they will benefit your build the most. This is why you should prioritise Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Rare glyphs, however, may offer dual bonuses if certain conditions are met, so they're worth looking out for too. Click the cycle widget to alter the perspective of the Glyphs Panel. Each of these views will display the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow down the list of glyphs further by choosing an option beneath “Entire Font”: for instance, punctuation shows only punctuation glyphs; Math symbols reduces the choices to mathematical symbols. Rerolling Rerolling is a process in which you create a brand new account to give yourself more chances to access a character or weapon that you are interested in. It can be done to level up faster, or to gain more valuable loot like the purchase of a new weapon for your character. A lot of players will repeat the roll until the character they desire is available, regardless of its strength. This can be because they like the character's style or character. When you reroll, you have be sure that the changes you're making are clean. You should test locally if the patch passes pre-commit and run a core dev check. You should also upload the patch to an issue with a plain diff (see What is an interdiff? ). Rerolls can take days or weeks to complete, based on the luck you have. To cut down on time be sure to avoid enemy camps that are not required during this time. Also, avoid repeating quests which can be completed later on in the game. This can help you save time and energy. Another important aspect to consider when rerolling is making sure that you are aware of the upgrade system. There are many ways to boost your character's strength and appearance. These can include upgrading your weapons or characters, rerolling them and purchasing upgrades. It is also important to be aware of the limitations of the system. Rerolling is not a necessary part of the game, however it can be beneficial to increase your chances of getting the right weapon or character. You can use it to determine which character is the best or to experiment with different builds and playstyles. Sets A set is a collection of objects that share common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or the members of the class). Sets permit operations like union, intersection and distinction. When you upgrade a set item, it becomes an entirely new version that is better than the previous version. For weapons and armor, this means it gains an increase in the base defense and a lower strength requirement and an lower requirement for level. Upgrading can be an excellent method of bringing popular single-set items into the same level as their higher-tier set counterparts. For instance upgrading Guillaume's Face helm to an Elite Spired Helm boosts the defense from 217 to 321 while reducing the strength requirement and level requirement to a more manageable range. It is important to keep in mind that not all items in a set are suitable for upgrading. Some sets, such as the FB Sorc Whistan's Shield, a spec's item or Naj's Puzzler staff are already exceptional and elite in their own right and do not require any upgrades. On the other hand, some items that are BiS and have a lot of use (like Goldwrap) may benefit by being upgraded to boost their performance. For these types of items, it may be worth the cost to upgrade them.
